Pretty much, yeah.

He also invoked the mythical male/female "wage gap" as a way to entice the leftie feminist block vote.

Slippery as fuck.

Are those statements real though?

Re: A Muslim London Mayor
It's baffling how statements like that are OK. Not cos I find anti-white sentiment "offensive", but because it creates this fucking perpetual victim culture where people think they're entitled to something cos of their skin colour, religion or gender.

Maybe, just maybe, the top bods on TFL are all white cos they happen to have worked for them for years and worked their way up into their positions?

So we continue to allow people like the bloated racist Diane Abbot, to say things like 'The problem with Great Britain is the whites' or Hamas supporting, ISIS sympathiser Sadiq (here comes the caliphate) Khan who said 'There are too many white men in Transport for London'?

Re: A Muslim London Mayor
You only have to see all the twitter comments from Muslims about the Muslim mayor, tweets like "we london now" or "we own you" or "we kicked you out of Pakistan and now we rule you" there were loads like that.

I think you're being very naive if you think identity politics and "us versus them" doesn't hugely come into this sort of thing but I'll leave it there.

Let's hope he's a great mayor.

Re: A Muslim London Mayor
No I would condemn both. But I don't actually think the majority of people are than simplistic. Its like when the Evening Standard was trying to say that Goldsmith was automatically the injured party with regards to the Barnet fiasco, because all the local Jews would surely have voted against Khan due to the antisemitism row in the Labour party. Can Jews only make a decision based on Jewish issues then? Did they have no idea who to vote for before that story broke? No, some will vote some way and some will vote another, for a variety of personal reasons. It's reductionist to suggest that all Jews will vote this way, all Muslims will vote the other. There may have been a few who thought 'wouldn't it be great to have a Mayor who is one of us', but then again let's face it you and I could tell them that's silly because we've had one of 'us' for the last two terms and he's been a complete disaster. But I reckon the majority of Muslims made up their minds and voted with their consciences, just like Jews, and the Chinese, and Africans, and Muslims. Just because you're in a minority doesn't automatically make you a single issue voter.

Re: A Muslim London Mayor
I don't dislike him because he's a Muslim.

I'm sure people do dislike him purely for that reason though and there is no difference between that and voting for him purely for that reason.

You can't condemn one and defend the other.

tnb 5:35 Mon May 9
Re: A Muslim London Mayor
So because someone may have voted for him because it's a Muslim it's ok for you to dislike him because he's a Muslim? Two wrongs make a right? Where would that end?

I knew from his daily newspaper threads that he was quite powerful, but I never realised ALAN (pbuh) had reached these heights.

All praise ALAN, ALAN AKHBAR!!!

Interesting that those Alan slogans on buses don't really mention about the migrant crisis but instead just comes across as a victory advert Subhan Alan.

"Just because a football forum might make you feel you are in the majority, the people of London have shown you are not. You may disagree with the decision, but there's nothing any of us can do about it - "

That's pretty much word for word what I said in my first post. I'm not whingeing about it being unfair that someone I don't like has won (unlike the left has done since this time last year) I'm just stating my reservations about him.

But anyway point is that I'm sure a lot of people voted for Khan purely because of his religion, which in my eyes is exactly the same as people having a problem with him purely cos of his religion. There is absolutely no moral difference.

Re: A Muslim London Mayor
Mashed,

No I don't remember saying that. But it is people's own business who they vote for and why. That's democracy. Just because a football forum might make you feel you are in the majority, the people of London have shown you are not. You may disagree with the decision, but there's nothing any of us can do about it - nor would there have been if Goldsmith had been elected and there were suspicions he had benefitted from the anti Muslim vote. It's just a shame the whole thing seems to be presented as a single issue 'us V them' issue which is massively oversimplified.

In this "they" you talk about, you've got Khan, and you've got people who want him dead for his gay rights stance.

So, they're all the same, really...
